FOTP: September 1, 2024: JoeB Letting Go: Part Two: The Triggers

Before salvation God’s Word calls it ‘The Old Man.’ After salvation God’s Word calls it ‘The New Man.’  Both ‘Old Man’ and ‘New Man’ ways of life include knowledge, learning, experiences, and memories. Both include learned events that, when brought to mind, a reliving of the past deeds/event(s) are realized. Along with these memories feelings also exist.  The mind may be triggered by a variety of stimuli to remember past experiences.  Through the process of learning and experiencing life through the five senses ‘Old Man’s’ deeds, the reliving of past events can happen. This happens through a ‘triggering process’ based largely on the five senses of seeing, smelling, tasting, touching, and hearing.
