Knowledge and information can give the appearance of control. The individual knows some type of knowledge and identifies with it. The response, ‘I know,’ can also mean, ‘I don’t care to learn or hear or look any further.’ This is when knowledge becomes a shield, a barrier to truth. God’s Word is living and real. It is alive and forever. The knowledge of God’s Word has its own appearance, because it is truth. As we feed on, digests and assimilate God’s Word, it becomes far more that someone talking about knowledge. It becomes living and real. God’s Word is life.
