Allow me to transport you to a year in my past—1979. I had just begun my first year of the Way Corps in residence training, a Way Ministry leadership program designed to educate and prepare individuals for the Christian Ministry. One graduation requirement was to write a research paper of scholarly design, a paper that would exhibit the member’s research skills, and that would chart a fulfilling course of continued studies and leadership. Needless to say, choosing the topic and writing the initial hypothesis was outrageously daunting. I felt that I didn’t know what I was doing; in order to complete the initial requirements, I had only God as my guide. He led me to the subject of abundant sharing and the following verse.
